Ramakrishna R (RRK) is a Vice President of Data Platform with over 22 years of experience in the implementation of world-class Financial Services, Online Gaming Products, and CRM applications. He has hands-on experience in Data Modelling, Database Design, Performance Tuning, Data Engineering, Reporting, and Data Visualisation tools. He is also experienced in managing a team of mid to senior-level data specialists. Ramakrishna's core strengths and track record lie in problem-solving and troubleshooting of critical issues. He is currently responsible for building and managing the cloud-based data platform at CoinSwitch, which includes OLTP databases, Data pipelines, OLAP databases, and visualisation needs. The platform is based on AWS and has exposure to tech stacks like RDS Postgres, DMS, Glue, dbt, Redshift, SnowFlake, Tableau, among others. In his previous role at Ivy Comptech, Ramakrishna was responsible for managing a database of 100+ TB in size with a load of 1 Million Queries Per Sec and 80K Transactions Per Sec on the Database layer. The system is multi-tenant with offerings of Poker, Casino, Sports book & Bingo products under leading international brands in B2B & B2C segments for 40+ Labels, 25+ Currencies, multi-channel and offered in 100+ countries where it is regulated or legal to operate. Ramakrishna's primary technology stack includes Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Teradata, Pentaho, Informatica, MSTR, Tableau, and Custom Data Visualizations, among others. He has strong exposure to Database concepts like SQL, PL/SQL, CBO (Cost-based Optimizer), Parallel Processing, Table Partitioning, Optimizer Hints, among others. He also has strong exposure to compliance and regulatory requirements like GDPR, PCI, KYC, Regulatory Reporting, among others. Ramakrishna's functional expertise comprises of Financial Services (DP System, Equities, Derivatives, Money Markets, MF Back office system), Online Gaming Domain (Poker, Casino Games, Sports book, Bingo, Platform Services – Account, Wallet, Risk Mgmt. and CRM), and Online Money Transaction processing involving 30+ of payment processors. Ramakrishna has worked with Ivy Comptech as Head of Engineering - Database Applications and Engineering Manager - Database Architecture.
